About Us

Matter Therapeutic Group was founded in 2023 with the intention of supporting neurodivergent families and individuals in the Covington, Fairwood, Kent East Hill and Maple Valley areas of King County and throughout Washington State virtually. As a neurodivergent family living in South King County, we recognized how little support is available for families like ours. Forming Matter Therapeutic Group became our passion as it combines bringing our professional experience and expertise with the desire to have a positive impact in our community.

It has long been a Meyer family value to provide a sense of belonging in our family and in our home. We are excited to expand that feeling of belonging to others through Matter Therapeutic Group.

Meet the Team

Beth Meyer, MA, LMFT

FOUNDER, THERAPIST, SUPERVISOR

Beth founded Matter Therapeutic Group in 2023.  She is an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her extensive professional history ranges from working as a Clinical Director at an ADHD Clinic in Seattle to conducting clinical research at the University of Washington to providing support to vulnerable populations in multiple social services settings.  Beth specializes in working with adults, parents and families impacted by ADHD, addiction, anxiety, depression and overall executive function deficits. In addition, Beth works closely with parents and the unique struggles they face in supporting children impacted by ADHD and addiction. Beth holds a Masters of Psychology degree from Antioch University and has received extensive post-graduate training at the University of Washington through the Addictive Behaviors Research Center and the Center for the Study of Health and Risk Behaviors.  Beth is also a licensed clinical supervisor and provides mentorship to associate level therapists pursuing their full clinical license.

In her spare time, you can find Beth at her favorite FLGS (Friendly Local Game Shop) playing board games with friends and discovering new games to play. Her favorites tend to be crunchy worker placement and resource management games. When not playing, researching or learning new games, Beth also enjoys playing golf poorly. She delights in providing an opportunity for other golfers to feel really good about their games. She likes a little competition between friends and insists her friends play chauffeur, driving her around the course.

Amy Meyer, MSN, ARNP

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Amy is a board certified family practice ARNP who received her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Seattle University in 2011. She began specializing in the management of ADHD, anxiety and depression in 2016, focusing on how medication can complement other therapeutic modalities to improve quality of life and function. One of Amy’s passions in the field is helping women navigate life transitions, whether they are lifestyle, family or hormone driven (peri-menopause, menopause) when creativity and flexibility are essential.

Amy is also employed by the Veterans Health Administration, where she meets the healthcare needs of Veterans.

In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling with her family, gardening, pretending to train her overly affectionate Aussiedoodle, selecting a winning team in Fantasy Premier League and attempting to best Beth at board games.
